It Works ThermoFight X Research

  • Greenselect Phytosome Research

  • Green tea has traditionally been associated to reduce body fat due to its ability to increase energy expenditure and calorie consumption through increased thermogenesis.  Which is the creation of body heat through fat oxidation, digestion and other metabolic functions (1).
    • Greenselect® Phytosome bolsters the concept of the antioxidant power house derived from green tea. The claims of increased weight loss from Greenselect Phytosome has been substantiated by two independent human studies (23), done by Di Pierro and Belcaro.
  • Di Pierro Study on Greenselect Phytosome:

  • The goal of the clinical trial was to compare the effects of Greenselect Phytosome (Green Tea extract) accompanied by a low-calorie diet to those on a low-calorie diet alone with no supplementation.  Measurements of weight loss were used to determine the effectiveness of the Green Tea extract supplement by measuring changes in body mass index (BMI), and other health markers linked to over weight (8).

  • Green tea extract (GreenSelect Phytosome) was given to 50 subjects and the control group also consisted of 50 subjects.  Subjects consumed 150mg of Greenselect twice daily along with a hypocaloric diet (low calorie diet).  Throughout a period of 90 days, a large sample of overweight volunteers consumed a balanced hypocaloric diet with or without daily Greenselect® Phytosome supplementation.
  • Significant weight loss and decreased body mass index (BMI) were found in the group receiving the herbal extract after 90 days of therapy.  The GreenSelect Phytosome group lost an average of 14 kg in 90 days while the control group lost 5 kg after 90 days.  Also waist circumference was reduced. Biochemical indicators such as LDL, HDL, cholesterol, triglycerides and growth hormones also improved.
  • The difference in weight loss was unmistakable: BMI declined by -5% for those following calorie restriction alone, whereas BMI decreased by -12% for those taking Greenselect® Phytosome daily (p0.001 day 90 compared to baseline). In addition, there were disparities in waist circumference measurements between males and females, where male waist circumference loss was greater than in females.

EGCG Research

EGCG and related catechins are powerful antioxidants that may protect against cell damage caused by free radicals (8).  Free radicals are highly reactive particles produced within the body that can cause cell damage if their numbers become excessive. Consuming foods rich in antioxidants, such as catechins, may help prevent damage caused by free radicals.  In addition, evidence suggests that catechins such as EGCG may lower inflammation and prevent some chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and several malignancies (8,  9).
A daily dose of 250 mg EGCG-containing green tea extract resulted in a significant reduction of LDL cholesterol by 4.5% in an 8-weeks (10).
In a separate research of 56 individuals, 379 mg of green tea extract daily for three months was associated with significant reductions in blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammatory markers (11).
EGCG may also help with weight loss, particularly when combined with the caffeine contained naturally in green tea.
Some long-term observational research found that consuming about 2 cups (14.7 ounces or 434 ml) of green tea per day was associated with lower body fat and weight, despite the inconsistency of the majority of studies on EGCG's effect on weight (12).
Further human studies have indicated that ingesting 100–460 mg of EGCG plus 80–300 mg of caffeine for at least 12 weeks is associated with considerable weight loss and fat reduction (14).

Caffeine Research

Caffeine's capacity to activate the central nervous system may improve metabolism by up to 11 percent and fat burning by up to 13 percent (15, 16).

Consuming 300 mg of caffeine per day may assist you to burn an additional 79 calories each day (17).

 Jalapeno Pepper Research

Jalapeos may aid in weight loss by stimulating metabolism, increasing fat burning, and suppressing hunger (18).  Many studies have shown that capsaicin and other similar substances known as capsaicinoids can increase the metabolic rate by 4–5% per day (19, 20).  In addition to increasing metabolism, capsaicinoid pills have been demonstrated to lower belly fat and hunger by 50–75 calories daily (18, 2122).

Black Pepper Research

Black pepper extract has been researched for its potential to lower cholesterol levels in animals (24).  In a 42-day trial, rats that fed a high-fat diet plus an extract of black pepper had lower blood cholesterol levels, particularly LDL (bad) cholesterol (25).

Ginger Root Research

According to studies conducted on humans and animals, ginger may contribute to weight loss.  A 2019 literature analysis revealed that ginger supplementation significantly lowered body weight, waist-hip ratio, and hip ratio in overweight individuals (26).
